This week, the video games Overwatch kicks off its 2017 Halloween event, and now we’ve learned that Nintendo has announced an upcoming Halloween-themed Splatfest for Splatoon 2.
Starting on Friday, October 13 Splatoon 2 players will choose whether they are Team Vampire or Team Werewolf. It’s almost reminiscent of Team Edward vs. Team Jacob. (Twilight anyone?)

If you’re unfamiliar with Splatfests, they are in-game events in the Splatoon video games where players are asked to pick a side on a topic (e.g. cats vs dogs) or in this case Vampires vs. Werewolves. After choosing a side, players are then dedicated to that team and its colors for the duration of the event in the hopes of winning the competition and earning a prize of Super Sea Snails. Winners are determined by the popularity of the chosen side as well as the number of wins from each team.
The Vampires vs. Werewolves Splatfest will kick off for North American players on Friday, October 13th at 9 PM PST.
