Last year I shared that all I wanted for Christmas was Anna and the Apocalypse in theaters. Sadly, Christmas came and went and I got nothing. But in a belated Christmas miracle, I’ll be getting my Christmas wish in 2018 thanks to Orion Pictures.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the horror musical comedy, which premiered at Fantastic Fest has been picked up by Orion for a North and Latin America holiday 2018 release.
Anna and the Apocalypse was directed by John McPhail and stars Ella Hunt and Malclom Cumming. The film is based on the 2010 BAFTA-winning short film Zombie Musical, which was written by the late Ryan McHenry, who is probably most famous for his Ryan Gosling Won’t Eat His Cereal meme.
The film, which takes place during the holidays will be the perfect holiday film for horror fans.
