WhedonCon Announces James Marsters as 2018 Guest

WhedonCon, the one-of-a-kind convention dedicated to all things Joss Whedon, has announced actor and musician James Marsters as its first guest for their 2018 event.  Marsters played the vampire-turned-hero Spike in both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.

WhedonCon 2018 will take place May 18-20 in Los Angeles and Marsters will be on hand all day during the event on Saturday, May 19th.  Marsters is the first member of the Whedonverse to be announced as part of the 2018 lineup of guests, but past years have included guests like Juliet Landau, who played vampire Drusilla in both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel and Nicholas Brendon, who of course played Scooby gang core member Xander Harris in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

WhedonCon is held at the Warner Center Marriott and is intimate by design, offering fans the opportunity to interact with Whedonvese actors, writers, and behind-the-scenes crew.  The event celebrates the work of writer and director Joss Whedon and his bodies of work including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, Dr. Horrible, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Dollhouse, and more all while raising money for charity.

The event includes everything you want in a con, including cosplay contests, panels, meet and greets, tabletop gaming, live music, and so much more.  Badges for WhedonCon 2018 are already on sale with special early bird rates in place through the end of 2017.  For more information on WhedonCon or to purchase badges for the event visit WhedonCon.com.
