This fall, “PG: Psycho Goreman” director Steven Kostanski is inviting fans to return to the Kingdom of Abraxeon for his reimagining of Roger Corman’s cult sword and sorcery film series, “Deathstalker.”In “Deathstalker,” the Kingdom of Abraxeon is under siege by the Dreadites, heralds of the long-dead sorcerer Nekromemnon. When Deathstalker recovers a cursed amulet from a corpse-strewn battlefield, he’s marked by dark magick and hunted by monstrous assassins. To survive, he must break the curse and face the rising evil. Death is just the beginning… of great adventure!The film stars Daniel Bernhardt (“John Wick”) as the titular Deathstalker with Patton Oswalt (“Young Adult”) providing the voice of the benevolent wizard Doodad.Showcasing epic battles led by dashing heroes against an onslaught of human, monster, and supernatural enemies, “Deathstalker” also features a score by Blitz//Berlin, with an original song by Slash and Bear McCreary.“Deathstalker” opens exclusively in theaters on October 10, 2025, from Shout! Studios, a Radial Entertainment Company in the US, and Raven Banner Releasing in Canada.The original “Deathstalker” debuted in 1983 and told the story of a lone warrior nicknamed Deathstalker who a witch sends on a quest to find a sword, a chalice, and an amulet, two of which are held by the wicked king and sorcerer, Munkar. The film was Corman’s answer to movies like “Conan,” “Dragonslayer,” and “The Beastmaster.” The film would go on to spawn three sequels.
