80s-Inspired Action RPG ‘Kingdom of Night’ Gets Release Date and New Trailer

Developer Friends of Safety and publisher DANGEN Entertainment have announced that “Kingdom of Night,” the long-awaited 80s-inspired isometric action-RPG, will launch on December 2, 2025, for PC via Steam, GOG, Humble Store, and itch.io.

With the announcement comes a brand-new trailer, showcasing a flood of never-before-seen gameplay that offers haunting glimpses of the cult-driven chaos overtaking Miami, Arizona.

The trailer also features an original theme song composed by Vince DiCola, the legendary 1980s composer who scored “Transformers: The Movie” and “Rocky IV.”

Set in an alternate 1987 in the quiet desert town of Miami, Arizona, “Kingdom of Night” follows John, a teenager who wakes to find his neighbor kidnapped by a satanic cult that has inadvertently unleashed the ancient evil Baphomet upon his hometown, turning it into a hellish invasion.

What begins as a desperate rescue mission quickly escalates into a cosmic battle for survival, as John must fight nightmarish demons, corrupted townsfolk, and high school bullies turned monstrous. Over the course of a single, harrowing night, he must infiltrate the lairs of powerful demon generals and rally the strength to confront Baphomet’s looming fortress, discovering that the fate of his friends, and perhaps the entire world, hangs in the balance.

A demo for “Kingdom of Night” is currently available on Steam, offering a full vertical slice of the coming-of-age adventure.
