Netflix has debuted the teaser trailer for “Apex,” a high-stakes survival thriller from director Baltasar Kormákur (“Everest”). The film pits Academy Award winner Charlize Theron (“Monster”) against Taron Egerton (“Carry-On”) in a deadly game of cat and mouse set against the unforgiving Australian wilderness.
Shot on location in New South Wales, the story follows a grieving woman (Theron) who ventures into the wilderness alone to find solace. Her journey for peace quickly turns into a nightmare when she crosses paths with a calculated serial killer (Egerton), leading to a relentless hunt across the rugged landscape. Eric Bana (“Hulk”) also stars.
“Apex” arrives on Netflix on April 24, 2026.
