Storm King Comics Unveils New ‘Night Terrors’ Entry: ‘Chaplain’

Storm King Comics has announced the next story under its “Night Terrors” imprint with “Chaplain,” a genre-bending graphic novel from the minds of Brad and Rev. Wesley Sun (“Monkey Fist”). They are joined by the visceral illustrative style of Raúlo Cáceres (“Elizabeth Bathory”), with Ryan Winn providing the colors and Marshall Dillon handling the lettering to round out this haunting visual experience, which arrives on July 7, 2026.

The graphic novel follows an aging, weary chaplain who discovers an ancient, unknowable monster stalking the halls of his hospital. Forced to confront the existential terror of his own mortality, the chaplain and his energetic protégé are pushed to the brink of insanity as their convictions—and reality itself—begin to unravel.

For this latest book, Wesley Sun brings a unique perspective to the story. In addition to self-publishing comics with his brother Brad and contributing to several comic anthologies, he’s been working as a chaplain in hospitals, jails, and homeless shelters for the past 20 years.

Horror fans can find “Chaplain” haunting the shelves of local comic shops starting July 1, 2026, with a wider release at bookstores and stormkingcomics.com on July 7.

Attendees of this weekend’s C2E2 in Chicago can meet creators Brad and Wesley Sun in Artist Alley booth #F01.
