Einstein Bros. Bagels Revives Pumpkin Bagels & Shmear After 7-Year Absence

For the first time in seven years, Einstein Bros. Bagels is bringing back its pumpkin bagels and pumpkin shmear.

Bagel lovers seeking an early taste of autumn can grab digital-exclusive early access starting Aug. 19, ahead of the nationwide rollout of the chain’s fall menu on Aug. 26.

To celebrate the long-awaited comeback, Einstein Bros. Bagels is offering “Kids 7 and Younger Eat Free” on Aug. 22, giving kids their first taste of these fall flavors. With any purchase, kids ages 7 and younger get the Pumpkin Bagel & Pumpkin Shmear free when they mention “Pumpkin Kids offer” at checkout. The offer is valid at participating locations and is limited to one per child per day, with up to five redemptions per transaction.

“Our guests have been asking Einstein Bros. Bagels to bring back the Pumpkin Bagel & Pumpkin Shmear, and now a whole new generation of guests gets to try it for the first time,” said Einstein Bros. Bagels Chief Marketing Officer Jessica Serrano. “This fall is about celebrating both nostalgia and new discoveries, and our seasonal menu really delivers with returning pumpkin favorites and all-new, shareable items that consumers are increasingly seeking out.”

The full 2026 fall lineup dropping Aug. 26 features both returning favorites and new seasonal additions:

  • Pumpkin Bagel & Pumpkin Shmear: The fan-favorite returning classic.
  • $3 Pull-Apart Bagel & Shmear: A tear-and-share option available in Pumpkin Crunch (served with Pumpkin Shmear) and Cinnamon Sugar (served with Honey Almond Shmear).
  • Crème Brûlée Iced Coffee: A seasonal brew priced at $1.99 for any size.
