DesiMo Productions will spotlight women and nonbinary voices in genre cinema at its upcoming event, “Scary Girls — A Short Film Showcase of Women in Horror and Comedy.”
The screening takes place Saturday, Oct. 10, at The London West Hollywood.
The program highlights 10 original horror-comedy shorts designed to blend humor with genuine thrills. The lineup features work from directors Nikki Braendlin, Lizzy McGroder, Love Bailey, Sam Fox, Callie Bloem, and Urvashi Pathania, among others.
After the shorts program, the event transitions into an industry cocktail hour, a live “Monster Bash” concert, and an after-party focused on networking and building community among independent creators.
“Scary Girls” marks the second installment in the “DesiMo Presents” showcase series, which debuted last spring with “Funny Girls,” a full-day summit celebrating women in comedy.
