A24 has released the first teaser trailer for writer-director Jeremy Saulnier’s upcoming action-thriller “Slayground,” set to hit theaters Jan. 29, 2027.
The latest feature from Saulnier (“Green Room”) stars Cory Michael Smith (“Mountainhead”) as “Metal Mike” Graves, a scare-actor who, on Halloween night, wakes up inside a haunted attraction called Slayground, in the middle of a gruesome real-life massacre surrounded by the bodies of his co-workers. As a statewide manhunt closes in on him as a suspected mass murderer, he must escape police custody and navigate the attraction’s maze-like horrors to uncover the truth, even as the blood-soaked trail points straight back to him.
The ensemble cast features Chase Sui Wonders (“I Know What You Did Last Summer”), Stanley Simons (“Mile End Kicks”), Sophie Wilde (“Talk to Me”), Young Mazino (“The Last of Us”), Imogen Poots (“Vivarium”), Matty Matheson (“The Bear”), James Badge Dale (“World War Z”), and Stephen Root (“Barry”).
