XYZ Films, in partnership with Flawless and AMC Theatres, is giving audiences something they haven’t seen in nearly two decades: a first-run double feature. This Halloween Weekend, moviegoers nationwide can experience the critically acclaimed and Certified Fresh “Hallow Road” and “Vincent Must Die” back-to-backโfor the price of one ticketโat AMC Theatres.
Combining the nostalgia of a classic double feature with the intensity of modern horror, the release delivers the ultimate big-screen celebration. It revives a tradition not seen since Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s “Grindhouse” in 2007, marking the first theatrical first-run double feature in almost two decades.
“We want to drive audiences to theaters for great indie movies like these, and this is a creative way to do it. We’re grateful to AMC for bringing this event to horror fans nationwide,” said John Hegeman on behalf of XYZ Films and Flawless.
The celebration kicks off today with the premiere of the official double feature trailer and collectable poster, giving audiences their first glimpse of the scares to come.
Hallow Road
Directed by Babak Anvari (“Under the Shadow”), “Hallow Road” stars Rosamund Pike (“Saltburn”) and Matthew Rhys (“The Americans”) as parents in a race against time after a late-night call from their daughter, who has just struck another young woman while driving her father’s car. As they venture deeper into the night, chilling revelations threaten to tear their family apartโand they may not be the only ones driving down Hallow Road.
Vincent Must Die
Directed by Stรฉphan Castang, “Vincent Must Die” stars Karim Leklou (“Jim’s Story”) as Vincent, an ordinary man who finds himself suddenly attacked by random strangers with murderous intent. As his once-quiet existence spirals into chaos, he is forced to flee and transform his life.
A French film, “Vincent Must Die,” also marks Flawless’ second English-language theatrical release of the year, utilizing their critically-acclaimed AI-driven dubbing technology previously utilized by acclaimed film “Watch the Skies.”
“This is such a great opportunity for indie movies to be enjoyed by the widest possible audience. We’re thrilled to be part of this Halloween event and grateful to AMC for supporting global cinema,” says “Hallow Road” filmmaker Babak Anvari.
