On Monday, NECA announced series 9 of its Ben Cooper Costume Kids Collection, and this wave of figures is filled with nothing but modern horror icons.
The fully poseable six-inch figures perfectly capture the vintage charm of the Halloween costumes made by Ben Cooper and Collegeville, but for this wave NECA is releasing all original designs as if they were produced today, reimagining the legendary horror villains Leatherface from “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” Michael Myers from “Halloween 2,” Billy the Puppet from the “Saw” franchise, Pennywise from 2017’s “IT,” and Art the Clown from the “Terrifier.”
Each figure comes outfitted in a mask and soft goods clothing that replicates the vinyl look of the classic costumes, and is complete with a movie-specific trick-or-treat bag or pumpkin bucket accessory. Every figure is sold separately and packaged in a numbered, retro-style window box that pays homage to the classic costume packaging.
The new series is being sold as a bundle exclusively through the NECA store for $99.95. Alternatively, you can purchase each figure separately at your favorite NECA retailer. The new figures are expected to arrive in Q3 of this year.
