‘Casper’ Returning to Theaters for Film’s 30th Anniversary

Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment have announced that, in celebration of the film’s 30th Anniversary, “Casper” will return to theaters on October 3, 2025.

First released on May 26, 1995, “Casper” is a family-friendly fantasy about a lonely young ghost named Casper who haunts a mansion with his three mischievous uncles. When paranormal expert Dr. James Harvey (Bill Pullman, “Independence Day”) and his daughter, Kat (Christina Ricci, “Yellowjackets”), move in, Kat and Casper form an unlikely friendship. As the two of them bond, they must contend with Casper’s ghostly uncles and a greedy heiress who is determined to find a hidden treasure in the house.

“Casper” will return to theaters on October 3 and run through Halloween. Tickets are on sale now. Check out the 30th anniversary trailer below:
