Solo developer Lantern Bay Entertainment has announced that its debut title, “Casting Whispers,” will launch on PC via Steam on October 22, 2025.
“Casting Whispers” is a first-person psychological horror game where sound is the key to surviving a malevolent, unseen presence. Step into a 1960s apartment block in Corburgh, Connecticut, where something ancient and unexplainable has taken hold. As you search for your missing mentor, you’ll uncover the echoes of a terrible secret and confront the horror waiting in the dark.
Press and hold to shut your eyes and listen, calm your mind, and focus your hearing. This unique mechanic allows players to eavesdrop on hidden conversations, locate secret mechanisms, and hear that which cannot be seen. Use it wisely, as every discovery brings you closer to the truth, but also closer to what lurks in the dark.
Featuring 6–8 hours of single-player narrative horror, “Casting Whispers” draws inspiration from Americana and Lovecraftian myths. Multiple endings can be unlocked through your choices or by chance, revealing the many faces of Corburgh’s tragedy.
Those wanting to try the game ahead of its release can take advantage of a new playable demo that arrived during Steam Next Fest. The demo invites horror fans to dive deeper into the world of “Casting Whispers” in preparation for the full release on October 22.
