Creep It Real OC Announces Special Panel Presentation with R.L. Stine

Earlier this summer, Creep It Real OC announced that R.L. Stine, the legendary author of the “Goosebumps” and “Fear Street” books, would be making a special appearance at the event for a separate ticketed, very limited autograph and photo session. Now, Orange County, California’s annual spooky season kick-off event has announced a special presentation with the author taking place on Sunday, September 14 at 5:30 p.m.

“Open Book with R.L. Stine: A Career Discussion With The Legendary Author” will be hosted by Jeff DePaoli of “That Halloween Podcast,” and will be a retrospective on the author’s more than 40-year career.

Stine began writing children’s joke books in the late 1960s under the pseudonym Jovial Bob Stine. Nearly two decades later, he shifted from humor to horror with the 1986 teen horror novel “Blind Date,” and he has been scaring kids and young adults ever since, thanks to books like “Fear Street” and “Goosebumps,” as well as his recent graphic novel collaborations with BOOM! Studios like “Stuff of Nightmares” and “The Graveyard Club.”

Creep It Real OC returns to the Heritage Museum of Orange County in Santa Ana, CA, nightly from September 12 to 14 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. This year’s theme, “Spooky Beach,” is a tribute to Halloween and Orange County’s beach culture. The event boasts 130 spooky vendors, the Kellogg House of Creepy Corridors, Photo ops, Live Music, roaming characters, food, drink, and a lot of fun, and tickets are still available!

Tickets for this year’s event start at just $20 for single-day admission, or you can nab the Creepin’ Weekend Pass for $50 and get access to all three days of this year’s event. The event is also offering an All Festival Weekend Pass, which gives you Creepin’ Weekend passes to Creep It Real OC and their winter event, Creep It Real Festive.
