DC’s ‘DCeased’ Comic Book Series Will Have Horror Movie Cover Variant’s

Next month, DC Comics will release its first issue of “DCeased” a new six part comic series from best-selling-writer Tom Taylor. Ahead of the release, Taylor took to Twitter to announce that each issue of the series would have a horror movie variant cover. The first variant appeared in last month’s PREVIEWSworld, but Taylor has debuted two additional covers via Twitter.

Created by artist Yasmine Putri. the first issue’s horror movie variant is based on the poster for the 2017 film IT, the third issues cover is based on the 2018 film The Nun, and another cover shared by Taylor was inspired by A Nightmare On Elm Street. “DCeased” will find the DC Universe heroes up against a mysterious techno-virus that has been released on Earth infecting 600 million people and turning them into violent, monstrous engines of destruction.

The first issue of “DCeased” hits comic shops May 1, 2019.
