15 years after pioneering interactive horror in Southern California, Delusion is going back to its roots. The iconic immersive theater experience will return to the historic Beckett Mansion in Los Angeles for its 2026 production, Den of the Mosquito.
Pitching its darkest storyline in years, Den of the Mosquito transports audiences to a 1920s New Orleans underworld crawling with mobsters, occult relics, and parasitic creatures. The new story from writer-director Jon Braver leans heavily into the gritty, sinister edge that put Delusion on the map.
The plot centers on Anomaly—a secret organization established by President Woodrow Wilson to investigate the paranormal. After a covert operative goes dark inside a bayou brothel run by the local Mafia, his final transmission warns of an ancient power feeding on human blood “like mosquitoes.” Guests are deployed as field agents to investigate, tasked with finding their missing colleague, infiltrating the brothel, and extracting whatever bleeds from the bayou.
Billed as Delusion’s longest and most interactive production to date, the 50-minute experience features branching paths, sadistic lore, and vampire prostitutes.
