Belgian Indie game developers Fire Foot Studios have released a demo for “Jester: A Foolish Ritual,” ahead of its participation in Steam Next Fest in October 2025.
The recently announced co-op horror game is set in the dungeons of a medieval castle. In it, players take on the role of one of four knights resurrected in a cursed castle, and their only hope of escape is to uncover hidden runes, complete the ritual, and break the wicked curse of the Jester who haunts the castle’s halls.
โIn the demo, you and up to three friends can explore a section of the cursed castle and get a taste of the gameplay, atmosphere, and terror that awaits in the full release. The demo will include:
- Basic version of the Jester with limited AI behaviour
- Up to 4-player online co-op
- Proximity voice chat support
- Sound detection from the Jester
- A selection of items and mechanics from the full game (basic rune collection and ritual preparation)
This demo is designed to provide a brief yet intense preview of the core gameplay loop, despite not having all of the core features being released as part of the full game later this year.
Those interested in taking on the Jester can do so now by downloading the demo via Steam.
