Back in November, 20th Century Fox trademarked an unannounced video game called “Alien: Blackout.” At the time, all that existed of the game was speculation and online conversation, but more details have emerged thanks to Variety and we now know that “Alien: Blackout” will be a survival horror mobile game starring Amanda Ripley, daughter of Ellen Ripley and takes place between the films Alien and Aliens.

Fellow gamers will know the name Amanda Ripley from the 2014 video game “Alien: Isolation,” which also starred Amanda Ripley as the game’s main protagonist. In “Alien: Blackout,” players take on the role of Amanda while trapped on board a crippled Weyland-Yutani space station. Of course, this isn’t just any crippled space station, this space station was carrying a Xenomorph and now its your job to survive as the creature hunts you and your crew.

The website of developer D3 Go! includes more details on the upcoming game including the following:

“Survive seven fear-inducing levels by remotely guiding Amanda Ripley’s crew through increasingly challenging tasks using only the station’s emergency systems. The uncertainty and unpredictability of both the alien and her crew can impose total defeat for Amanda and the entire station.

“Alien: Blackout is a unique fear-inducing horror mobile game experience that will test the inner nerves of both Alien and horror fans alike, where life can end in an instant.”

UPDATE: “Alien: Blackout” is coming to coming to the App Store, Google Play and Amazon Appstore on January 24 and is available for pre-order. Developer D3 Go! has also released the below trailer.
