On Wednesday, Prime Video unveiled the official trailer for “56 Days,” a high-stakes erotic thriller starring Dove Cameron (“Schmigadoon!”) and Avan Jogia (“Zombieland: Double Tap”). Based on Catherine Ryan Howard’s best-selling novel, the series promises both a unique crime story and a riveting, sexy, psychological thriller.
The story follows Oliver (Jogia) and Ciara (Cameron), who, after meeting randomly in a supermarket, fall for each other fast and dangerously hard. 56 days later, homicide investigators arrive at Oliver’s apartment to find an unidentified body—brutally murdered and intentionally decomposed.
The series utilizes a dual-timeline narrative, intercutting between the frantic present-day investigation and the twisted trajectory of the couple’s past. As the mystery unfolds, viewers are left with one burning question: Who killed whom?
Rounding out the star-studded cast are Karla Souza (“Day Shift”) and Dorian Missick (“For Life”). The project is helmed by Creators and Executive Producers Lisa Zwerling and Karyn Usher, who worked closely with the original author.
“We got to be great friends with author Catherine Ryan Howard, whose book gave us a sexy, emotional, thrill-ride of a show where everything pays off in the end,” said Zwerling and Usher in a joint statement.
The series is a collaboration between Amazon, MGM Studios, and James Wan’s Atomic Monster, with Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett serving as executive producers.
All eight episodes of “56 Days” will be released exclusively on Prime Video on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
