Dynamite Entertainment is restoring and compiling the Elvira, Mistress of the Dark comic adventures from the 1990s and early 2000s into one massive 600-page omnibus and making it available to fans via Indiegogo.
The Elvira Mistress of the Dark Classic Years Omnibus is a deluxe volume available in either paperback or hardcover. It collects the first 26 issues of Elvira’s classic adventures, including the Halloween, Christmas, and Easter specials, along with bonus content yet to be revealed. Some of the top talents in comic books contributed to these stories, including Kurt Busiek, Paul Dini, Neil Vokes, Fred Hembeck, and Dave Cockrum.
The Elvira Mistress of the Dark Classic Years Omnibus is the first volume kicking off reprinting the highly sought-after tales originally published by Claypool Comics. In these beloved adventures, Elvira must contend with teen werewolves, killer clowns, aliens, a high school reunion, pro wrestling, and more!
With the release being part of an Indiegogo campaign, there are, of course, several perks available. However, instead of being tied to the Omnibus, fans can essentially purchase various Elvira products a la carte. Including a special edition extremely limited reprinting of the original Elvira comic book from 1993 featuring a special photo cover with Elvira. Other perks have been carried over from the Elvira, Mistress of the Dark Omega Ma’am Kickstarter campaign, including things like trading cards, custom Elvira coin, and more.
A pledge of just $30 will get you The Elvira Mistress of the Dark Classic Years Omnibus in paperback form, or you can get the hardcover version for $45. Both editions are expected to ship in October.
