HBO Max is heading down to San Diego Comic-Con later this month, and it’s bringing the HBO Original Series “IT: Welcome to Derry” with it.
On Friday, July 25, and Saturday, July 26, “IT: Welcome to Derry” will creep into downtown San Diego with roaming Pennywise-inspired pedicabs offering free rides and brand ambassadors handing out chilling sweets throughout the San Diego Convention Center, Gaslamp Quarter, and Harbor areas.
On Saturday, July 26 at 9:15 p.m., “IT: Welcome to Derry” will take over Room 6DE at the San Diego Convention Center to offer fans an exclusive, early sneak peek of the upcoming series with first look footage from the premiere episode and the debut of a new teaser trailer, presented by special guests Andy and Barbara Muschietti.
Set in the world of Stephen King’s “IT” universe, “IT: Welcome to Derry” is a prequel series based on King’s “IT” novel and expands the vision established by filmmaker Andy Muschietti in the feature films “IT” and “IT Chapter Two.” The series stars Taylour Paige (“Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F”), Jovan Adepo (“Babylon”), Chris Chalk (“Perry Mason”), James Remar (“Openheimer”), Stephen Rider (“Daredevil”), Madeleine Stowe (“Revenge”), and Rudy Mancuso (“The Flash”), with Bill Skarsgård reprising his role as Pennywise.
“IT: Welcome To Derry” will debut this October on HBO Max.
