Fathom Entertainment, in partnership with Double Nickel Entertainment, announced the acquisition of the U.S. theatrical distribution rights to “Grow,” a new uplifting family film about a little girl with an extraordinary knack for growing giant pumpkins. The film will premiere nationwide on October 3, 2025.
Directed by John McPhail, “Grow” is a story set in the world of competitive pumpkin growing. When hardened farmer Dinah takes in her abandoned niece, Charlie, she puts her to work on the farm. As they prepare for the town’s epic annual pumpkin contest, they face eccentric rivals and fierce competition. Charlie, with a unique gift for connecting with plants, finds a way to make their pumpkin shine. As their entry grows bigger, so does their bond, and they learn that the real prize is the joy, laughter, and found family that blossoms between them.
Golda Rosheuvel (“Bridgerton”) plays Dinah, and Priya-Rose Brookwell (“The Lazarus Project”) plays Charlie. The film also stars Nick Frost (“Hot Fuzz”), Tim McInnerny (“Notting Hill”), Jane Horrocks (“Absolutely Fabulous”), and comedian and presenter Alan Carr. The supporting cast includes Joe Wilkinson (“Afterlife”), Kathryn Drysdale (“Bridgerton”), Fisayo Akinade (“Heartstopper”), and Sharon Rooney (“Barbie”).
