First Teaser for ‘The Munsters’ Movie Arrives from Rob Zombie

On Wednesday, director Rob Zombie shared the first teaser for his ‘The Munsters’ movie on social media. Based on the classic 60s sitcom of the same name, the film is expected to be released sometime later this year.

The new teaser for the film starts with a shortened recreation of the intro to the classic “The Munsters” television series, complete with the original theme song, and introduces us to Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster, and Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa Munster. The teaser ends in full color with the three characters awkwardly sitting on a couch before Grandpa pipes up, saying, “Now what?”

And that really is the question. While it’s great to see a teaser for the film, it didn’t give us much more than we already had. Zombie has shared behind-the-scenes photos of all three of these characters throughout the filming process on social media. Beyond being a bit of a nostalgia piece for fans of the television series, there wasn’t much substance here. Hopefully, in the coming weeks or months, we’ll get something more that shares a bit of what we can expect from the film and its plot.
