Be careful what you wish for. Focus Features just dropped the official trailer for “Obsession,” the latest horror offering from filmmaker Curry Barker.
The film stars Michael Johnston (“Teen Wolf”) as Bear, a hopeless romantic pining for Nikki (Inde Navarrette, “Superman & Lois”). Unable to muster the courage to ask her out, Bear breaks the mysterious “One Wish Willow” to win her heart. The wish works—perhaps too well. As Nikki’s devotion turns into a violent, claustrophobic fixation, Bear discovers that some desires come at a dark, sinister price.
While previous teasers focused on the legend of the Willow, this new look highlights the spell’s terrifying intensity, showcasing Nikki’s transformation from a crush into a living nightmare.
