Elvira, Mistress of the Dark is celebrating Women In Horror Month by making her 2001 television documentary “Bride of Monster Mania” available on her YouTube channel.
Hosted by the Mistress of the Dark herself, the 51 minute documentary is a salute to women in fright films. Though previously released on DVD and already available as bootlegs on YouTube, this upload comes directly from Elvira’s official YouTube account.
The film compiles scenes from classic horror films like Carrie, The Exorcist, The Stepford Wives, and the Alien series and is narrated by Elvira with added commentary from actors, scholars, and other experts as they explore the themes and roles of women in horror cinema.
