Funko has announced another string of San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) exclusives this morning. The toy maker has been slowly announcing releases all week including an exclusive Demogorgon from “Stranger Things” and new Jaws and Teen Wolf Pops. This morning, as part of their Disney SDCC reveals they announced a new set of Pop! figures from The Black Cauldron.
The Black Cauldron has become a cult animated classic, something that’s not very common among Disney films. Released in 1985, the film is much darker than most animated releases from Disney and was the first to receive a PG rating. The film didn’t fair well at the box office, but over the years it has garnered a devoted cult following and if you’re one of those fans you’re going to be excited about this release (I know I am!).
Funko will be releasing an SDCC exclusive The Black Cauldron 2-pack featuring Taran and The Horned King Pop! figures.
The set will be available exclusively through Amazon starting on day two of this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
