Grim Grinning Ghosts Come Out To Socialize in New Disneyland Nighttime Show Starring Mickey Mouse

This Friday, January 18, Disneyland will kick off it’s Get Your Ears On: A Mickey and Minnie Celebration to celebrate 90 years of Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Part of the festivities will include the new nightly light show, “Mickey’s Mix Magic.” The 10-minute long show features projections of Mickey and his friends spinning a selection of remixed songs from your favorite Disney movies and attractions, including The Haunted Mansion.

The Haunted Mansion portion of the show appears to feature new animated versions of characters from the famous attraction including the singing busts, the opera ghosts from the graveyard and the organ player. Goofy and Donald also make an appearance as some of your favorite hitchhiking ghosts as they all dance along to the attraction’s theme “Grim Grinning Ghosts.”

Following a reporter preview event earlier this week, Disney released the following highlight video of what guests can expect when the show premieres tomorrow night. The Haunted Mansion portion starts at about the 40-second mark.

The projections for “Mickey’s Mix Magic” will appear on Main Street, U.S.A., water screens on Rivers of America (when Fantasmic! returns in March) and the facade of “it’s a small world.” The full performance features a total of eight different Disney songs, that have been given “dance-tastic twists.” On select nights the performance will also feature a small sampling of fireworks to “add a pinch more pixie dust to the occasion.”
