Horror Comedy ‘Coyotes’ Starring Justin Long & Kate Bosworth to World Premiere at Fantastic Fest Ahead of Theatrical Release

Aura Entertainment has announced the official release of Colin Minihan’s latest feature, “Coyotes.” The star-studded indie horror comedy will world premiere at Fantastic Fest in Austin on September 20, 2025, followed by a national theatrical release on October 3.

In “Coyotes,” when a Santa Ana windstorm knocks out power in the Hollywood Hills and crushes the family SUV, the Stewarts โ€” Scott, Liv, and their precocious daughter, Chloe โ€” are stranded in their hillside home with no cell service, no escape route, and just enough Spam to start a riot. But the real problem? Coyotes. Not the scrappy, skittish kind that dig through your garbage and steal your cat โ€” but smart, organized, murder-flavored coyotes. Led by a scar-faced alpha with serious beef, the coyote pack starts picking off neighbors like it’s happy hour at an all-you-can-eat casino buffet. As wildfires rage on one side and a bloodthirsty canine death cult circles the other, the Stewartsโ€”armed with nothing but a flashlight, an old iPad, and some questionable decision-makingโ€”must band together and transform from cozy suburbanites into blood-smeared survivalists.

The film stars the real-life couple and creative partners Justin Long (“Barbarian”) and Kate Bosworth (“Superman Returns”). The ensemble cast also includes Katherine McNamara (“Shadowhunters”), Brittany Allen (“What Keeps You Alive”), Mila Harris (“Mary”), and Norbert Leo Butz (“A Complete Unknown”).
