Netflix is officially entering the K-Horror YA space. The streaming giant has locked in an April 24, 2026, global premiere for the upcoming original series, “If Wishes Could Kill.” Alongside the date, a haunting new teaser trailer and poster have been released, offering a first glimpse into the halls of Seorin High School.
The series follows five friends—Yoo Se-ah (Jeon So-young), Lim Na-ri (Kang Mi-na), Kim Geon-woo (Baek Sun-ho), Kang Ha-joon (Hyun Woo-seok), and Choi Hyeong-wook (Lee Hyo-je)—who find themselves ensnared by Girigo, a mysterious wish-granting app. But in the world of occult horror, nothing is free. Soon their ordinary days are shattered when the app begins granting their wishes—leaving a trail of deadly receipts that the group never expected to pay.
While the series leans heavily into supernatural suspense and high-school dread, it aims to differentiate itself by focusing deeply on the evolving emotional bonds and coming-of-age struggles of its young cast.
