The immersive theater experience “The Willows” is returning to Los Angeles in September. This emotionally gripping, dark, and sophisticated production—which has captivated over 6,000 guests since its debut—has been revived with new artistic and commercial heights.
Set at Los Angeles’ historic Beckett Mansion, “The Willows” invites 24 guests per performance into an eerily intimate family gathering where nothing—and no one—is quite what it seems. With a runtime of two hours and seven different narrative tracks unfolding simultaneously, “The Willows” offers a deeply personalized journey, blending the emotional intimacy of dinner theater, the psychological suspense of murder mysteries, and the interactivity of escape rooms. Written, directed, and produced by the creative minds at JFI Productions, including Justin Fix, Daniel Montgomery, Stephanie Turek, and JT Swierczek, the show’s gothic narrative and intricately designed environments lay a powerful infrastructure that tracks guests’ every movement.
First launched in 2017, “The Willows” has sold out more than 1,200 performances and attracted a devoted audience including Trent Reznor, Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson, Jason Sudeikis, Madylen Cline, and Olivia Wilde. Following critically acclaimed sold-out performances in 2023 and 2024, the 2025 run marks the next evolution of the experience, paving the way for a permanent venue later this year.
