New Line Cinema’s “IT” heads back into select theaters for one special night—exclusively at Dolby Cinema at AMC screens on Wednesday, September 24, 2025—in anticipation of the upcoming debut of the all-new HBO Original series “IT: Welcome to Derry,” from Warner Bros. Television.

At the screenings, audiences will also be treated to an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the upcoming series “IT: Welcome to Derry,” which is set in the same universe as the film. Featuring sneak peek footage and insights from cast and creatives, fans will get to experience Derry through the eyes of those closest to it—including actors Jovan Adepo, Taylour Paige, Chris Chalk, and Rudy Mancuso—as well as executive producers Andy Muschietti (who also directed four episodes), Barbara Muschietti, Jason Fuchs (who also served as co-showrunner), and Brad Caleb Kane (who also served as co-showrunner).

“‘IT’ was a groundbreaking global phenomenon that brought Stephen King’s seminal novel to the big screen for the first time, and audiences embraced it to the tune of more than $700 million,” said Jeff Goldstein, President, Global Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures. “On behalf of Warner Bros. and New Line, we’re excited to be able to bring Pennywise and the Losers’ Club back to theaters with our partners at AMC Theatres and Dolby, giving fans another shot at the thrills and chills Andy Muschietti delivers up in this film as they prepare themselves for the frightening return to where it all began in HBO’s ‘IT: Welcome to Derry.'”

Tickets for this exclusive experience are available for purchase now at AMCTheatres.com or a participating box office.

Set in the summer of 1988, “IT” tells the story of a group of bullied outcasts in the town of Derry, Maine, who band together to confront an ancient evil. The kids, who call themselves the Losers’ Club, discover that a malevolent entity, which primarily takes the form of a dancing clown named Pennywise, has been preying on the town’s children for centuries. Each member of the group must face their own deepest fears as they unite to fight the supernatural killer. The film culminates in a terrifying showdown in the sewers, where the Losers’ Club defeats It, forcing the creature to retreat into hibernation.

The film stars Bill Skarsgård (“Allegiant”) as Pennywise alongside an ensemble of young actors including Jaeden Lieberher (“Midnight Special”), Jeremy Ray Taylor (“Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip”), Sophia Lillis (“37”), Finn Wolfhard (TV’s “Stranger Things”), Wyatt Oleff (“Guardians of the Galaxy”), Chosen Jacobs (upcoming “Cops and Robbers”), Jack Dylan Grazer (“Tales of Halloween”), Nicholas Hamilton (“Captain Fantastic”) and Jackson Robert Scott, making his film debut.

“IT: Welcome to Derry” is an HBO Original series from Warner Bros. Television, which will debut on Sunday, October 26 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. The series is set in 1962 and expands the vision established by filmmaker Andy Muschietti in the feature films “IT” and “IT Chapter Two.” New episodes of the eight-episode season will debut weekly until the finale on Sunday, December 14.

The cast includes Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso, with Bill Skarsgård reprising his role as Pennywise.
