Leatherface Returns in Netflix’s ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ This February

Leatherface, the deranged serial killer who first made his appearance in Tobe Hooper’s 1973 classic “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” is set to make his return next month in a Netflix requel (that’s what we’re calling them now thanks to “Scream,” right?) that picks up 50 years after the original film.

In Netflix’s “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” Melody (Sarah Yarkin), her teenage sister Lila (Elsie Fisher), and their friends Dante (Jacob Latimore) and Ruth (Nell Hudson), head to the remote town of Harlow, Texas, to start an idealistic new business venture. But their dream soon turns into a waking nightmare when they accidentally disrupt the home of Leatherface, whose blood-soaked legacy continues to haunt the area’s residents — including Sally Hardesty (Olwen Fouéré), the sole survivor of his infamous 1973 massacre who’s hell-bent on seeking revenge.

Check out the trailer, just released by Netflix below, and catch “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” when it premieres on the streaming service on February 18, 2022.
