Lionsgate has announced the at-home release of the first-ever film adaptation of Stephen King’s debut novel, “The Long Walk.” Directed by Francis Lawrence and adapted by JT Mollner, the critically acclaimed film arrives on Premium Digital and Premium Video on Demand on October 21, with physical editions, including an Amazon Exclusive Combo SteelBook, following in the coming months.
“The Long Walk” has been a hit with theatrical audiences, bringing in $57.6 million at the worldwide box office, and is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with an 87% critic rating.
The film stars Cooper Hoffman (“Licorice Pizza”), David Jonsson (“Alien: Romulus”), and Charlie Plummer (“Moonfall”), with notable supporting turns from Judy Greer (“13 Going on 30”) and Mark Hamill (“Star Wars” franchise).
Set in a dystopian, alternative United States, the plot centers on the Long Walk, an annual, televised contest where 100 young men must walk without stopping along U.S. Route 1. Competitors who falter or stop for too long are swiftly and brutally eliminated. The adaptation is an intense, chilling, and emotionally charged thriller that challenges audiences with a haunting question: How far could you go?

On November 25, “The Long Walk” will be available for $39.99 on Blu-ray (+ Digital), and $29.96 on DVD.
