Pre-orders have officially opened for Series 14 of NECA’s Ben Cooper Costume Kids Collection, and this wave is a direct hit for sci-fi enthusiasts. The latest lineup of six-inch figures draws inspiration from “Mars Attacks,” “Star Trek,” and the 1960s hero Captain Action.
Leading the charge is the Mars Attacks figure, sporting a Martian mask and a soft goods costume featuring artwork pulled straight from the classic Topps trading cards. For those looking to explore the final frontier, the series includes three Star Trek staples: Kirk, Spock, and a Klingon. Finally, the collection rounds out with a tribute to the “Original Action Hero,” Captain Action, and his villainous arch-nemesis, Dr. Evil.
Each figure perfectly replicates the signature vinyl look of mid-century Halloween costumes, complete with a mask and a themed trick-or-treat bag or pillowcase accessory. In true collector fashion, they come housed in numbered, retro-style window boxes that pay homage to the original Ben Cooper packaging.
