Midsummer Scream Announces ‘The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell’ Panel

Despite the cancellation of her Netflix Original Series “The Curious Creations of Christine McConnel” earlier this month, the show’s namesake and the voices and puppeteers behind some of the show’s supporting characters will be on hand for a panel about the series at this year’s Midsummer Scream.

Taking place on day two of the world’s largest Halloween and horror fan convention, August 4, 2019, Christine McConnel will be joined by moderator and Muppet director Kirk Thatcher along with the voices and puppeteers behind some of the show’s supporting characters Mick Ignis, Colleen Smith, Michael Oosterom, and Drew Massey.

Part cooking show, part sitcom, “The Curious Creations of Christine McConnel” invited viewers into the home of the macabre baker and artist where she could be seen making some of her elaborate creations. In the show, McConnel was joined by a motley crew of characters, which included a werewolf named Edgar, played by Ignis and voiced by Massey, a reanimated roadkill raccoon named Rose voiced by Smith, and an Egyptianon mummy cat named Rankle, who was voiced by Oosterom.

McConnel has a rabid fan base and had amassed over 250,000 followers on Instagram prior to her signing on for the Netflix series, so despite the show’s cancellation, this is sure to be a popular panel at Midsummer Scream 2019.

Tickets for Midsummer Scream 2019 are on sale now and today is the last day to get presale tickets at 40% off of General admission. For more information or tickets visit midsummerscream.org.
