Released in 2003, “House of 1000 Corpses” was Rob Zombie’s directorial debut and an homage to 70s-style horror and camp. The film was the first in the Firefly family trilogy. It introduced us to the iconic characters Captain Spaulding, Otis Driftwood, and Baby Firefly, played by Sid Haig, Bill Mosely, and Sheri Moon Zombie. The film tells of a family of backwoods sadists who plunge two young couples into a nightmare world of torture, satanic ritual, and cannibalism.
