‘Necrosmith’ Heads to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 This July

On Thursday, Merge Games and developer Alawar announced that 2D roguelike “Necrosmith” will come to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 on July 6, 2023. The necromancy simulator first arrived last summer on Steam.

“Necrosmith” pits players against hordes of enemies in a battle to overrun the Chosen Ones. You’ll take on skeletons, zombies, orcs, harpies, elementals, and even robots! Assemble your undead army using different body parts. Combine parts with the appropriate characteristics and attacks to find the perfect combination of survivability, speed, and combat power.

Players also have the ability to upgrade their towers with fortifications on the outside and swag on the inside. Here you can build necro labs to grow body parts and make techno-magic devices to upgrade your army of the dead.

The “Necrosmith” world is yours to explore, with more than a dozen biomes that house buildings, resources, and ancient portals. Guide your undead army through hordes of enemies to find the keys to escape from this strange world.

Alongside today’s console announcement, Merge Games has announced that players can summon their favorite white cat in real life with a limited edition Necrosmith Cat plushie available for pre-order via Makeship! Each purchase of the Necrosmith Cat Plush will also include a complimentary digital copy of Wall World.

“Necrosmith” is available to wishlist now on the PlayStation Store and the Nintendo eshop.
