We’re just under a month away from the premiere of the next chapter in Netflix’s “Fear Street” franchise, and on Tuesday, the streamer released the official trailer for that chapter: “Fear Street: Prom Queen.”
Set in 1988, during prom season at Shadyside High. The school’s ‘It Girls’ are busy jockeying for the crown. But when a gutsy outsider puts herself in the running, and the other girls start mysteriously disappearing, the class of ’88 is suddenly in for one hell of a prom night.
“Fear Street: Prom Queen” features an ensemble cast made up of India Fowler (“The Nevers”), Suzanna Son (“Red Rocket”), Fina Strazza (“Paper Girls”), David Iacono (“The Summer I Turned Pretty”), Ella Rubin (“The Idea of You”), Chris Klein (“Sweet Magnolias”), Lili Taylor (“Outer Range”), Katherine Waterston (“The End We Start From”), and Ariana Greenblatt (“Barbie”).
The film will premiere on Netflix on May 23.
Netflix’s “Fear Street” franchise debuted in 2021 with the trilogy of films “Fear Street: 1994,” “Fear Street: 1978,” and “Fear Street: 1666,” which explored the deadly history of Shadyside and the evil force that has plagued the town for centuries.
