Max has announced that New Line Cinema’s film adaptation of Stephen King’s 1975 bestselling novel Salem’s Lot will debut on the streaming service on Thursday, October 3, 2024. With the announcement comes the first official trailer.
The Max Original film reunites the producing teams behind the record-breaking horror franchises “The Conjuring” universe and the “It” films and stars Lewis Pullman as author Ben Mears. In search of inspiration for his next book, Mears returns to his childhood home of Jerusalem’s Lot, only to discover that a bloodthirsty vampire is preying upon his hometown.
Alfre Woodard, Makenzie Leigh, Bill Camp, Spencer Treat Clark, Pilou Asbæk, and John Benjamin Hickey round out the film’s cast.
The latest take on “Salem’s Lot” is written, directed, and executive produced by Gary Dauberman. Producers are James Wan, Michael Clear, and Judson Scott for Atomic Monster, Roy Lee and Andrew Childs for Vertigo, alongside Mark Wolper and Michael Bederman.
