Following its recent acquisition of the film, Independent film distributor Vertical has released the official trailer and poster for “Found Footage: The Making of the Patterson Project.”
Directed by Max Tzannes, “Found Footage” is a horror mockumentary about a budding filmmaker’s attempt to produce his first feature, a found footage movie about Bigfoot. Through the eyes of an esteemed French documentary crew, the story follows his unlikely band of misfits as they struggle to keep the production afloat on a shoestring budget. All the while, mysterious and sinister occurrences begin to unfold behind the scenes, blurring the lines between movie magic and real life. As the shoot days get longer and scarier, the filmmakers quickly learn that they’ve stepped into a very real and very terrifying found footage film of their own.
The film stars Brennan Keel Cook (“The Pale Blue Eye”), Chen Tang (“Warrior”), Erika Vetter (“Somebody I Used to Know”), and Dean Cameron (“Straight Outta Compton”).
“Found Footage: The Making of the Patterson Project” will get a limited theatrical release on June 20, 2025, and will be available on demand beginning June 24 in North America.
The film is produced by Tyler Friesen, with Radio Silenceโthe team behind the most recent movies in the “Scream” franchise, “Scream” and “Scream VI”โpresenting. Chad Villella, Tyler Gillett, and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin served as executive producers.
