Overhauled Version of ‘Slender: The Arrival’ Arrives on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S

Blue Isle Studios has announced the release of “Slender: The Arrival,” which has been completely revamped for the game’s 10th anniversary. Every shadow, every material, and every hair-raising encounter with the mysterious Slender Man is now rendered in stunning detail only possible with Unreal Engine 5. The game is available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S – just in time for Halloween.

This anniversary update comes with a brand new chapter titled “Nightmare” that follows Charlie Matheson’s father as he descends deeper into madness. “Slender: The Arrival” features a complete visual overhaul and the option to swap between the original version and the new update on Steam by switching branches on the Steam client. Multiple new languages are supported, with redesigned pickups, readables, and subtitles for English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Portuguese.

During Unreal Fest, Blue Isle Studios announced a robust roadmap for the game that includes multiplayer, more chapters, and a cross-platform mod kit (supported by CurseForge and Overwolf), all of which are expected to arrive in 2024.

Slender: The Arrival is the official videogame adaptation of Slender Man, re-created from Mark Hadley’s original nerve-shattering sensation “Slender: The Eight Pages.” Released in 2012, the short, experimental first-person game helped breathe new life into the horror genre through its use of unadulterated tension-building and fear.

“Slender: The Arrival” is the official re-imagining and expansion of the original game, featuring a brand-new storyline, new characters, and improved visuals.

“Slender: The Arrival,” wholly overhauled and updated for Unreal Engine 5, is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store for $19.99.
