Pokémon GO Announces Halloween Event That Includes Halloween Costume Wearing Pokémon

Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Pikachu and Charmander in Halloween costumes

Pokémon GO announced that their 2019 Halloween event will begin this Thursday and during the event, there is plenty of spooky fun to be hand.

The event kicks off at 1 PM PDT on October 17, 2019 and will run through Friday, November 1. To get in the Halloween spirit, trainers will be able to purchase new items from the Style Shop including a Zubat Bag, a Pikachu Onesie, a Cubone Cap, a Litwick Cap, and a Mimikyu Bag.

The event will also debut a number of new and Halloween-themed Pokémon. For the first time in Pokémon GO Shiny Yamask will appear in the wild and Darkrai will appear in five-star raids. Some Pokémon you encounter during the event will also be donning Halloween costumes this year. In raids you’ll find Bulbasaur wearing Shedinja costumes, Charmander wearing Cubone costumes, and Squirtle wearing Yamask costumes. In the wild, be on the lookout for Pikachu wearing Mimikyu costumes, and if you’re lucky, your costumed Pokémon will also be a Shiny Pokémon.

During the event, trainers can also expect to encounter more Ghost and Dark-type Pokémon in the wild, in eggs and in raids and more Shadow Pokémon that require rescuing from Team Go Rocket. The event will also feature a number of limited-time field research tasks, including a new Special Research task that will debut with the event launch and gives trainers the chance to face off against a Forbidden Pokémon.

The fun kicks off this Thursday, and if you want to play along with All Hallows Geek, be sure to add me as a friend! My trainer code is 5568 6148 5321
