FYRE Games has officially announced that its cinematic, narratively-driven horror title “Project Songbird” will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on March 26, 2026. While FYRE Games is self-publishing on PC, the console versions will be handled by Dojo System.
Set deep beneath the isolating canopy of the Appalachian forest, “Project Songbird” is a surreal, psychological tale that explores the dark side of the creative process. Players will take on the role of Dakota, a struggling career musician battling a severe case of writer’s block. In a desperate bid to finish a new album, Dakota retreats to a remote log cabin—only to discover that something malevolent lurks among the pines, proving that not all inspiration is divine.
The game promises a striking juxtaposition between picturesque, naturalistic environments and distorted, surrealist nightmarescapes. To bring this dark tale to life, FYRE Games has assembled an elite voice cast that includes Valerie Rose Lohman (“What Remains of Edith Finch”), Jonah Scott (“Dying Light 2: Stay Human”), and Aleks Le (“Persona 3: Reloaded”).
Beyond the narrative, players can expect tactile, heart-pounding combat encounters, with upgradeable weapons to help you survive your nightmarish journey, and a hauntingly dynamic soundtrack composed and performed by Jacob Noska and Jonah Henthorne of the band Auric Echoes.
