Remake of the Iconic Puzzle-Mystery Game The 7th Guest Arrives for PC and Consoles

On Thursday, the highly anticipated remake of the classic puzzle-mystery game 7th Guest arrived on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S from Vertigo Games. The remake brings the iconic mystery adventure back in a fully rebuilt experience for a new generation.

Nearly three decades after the original helped define early interactive storytelling, The 7th Guest Remake rebuilds Henry Stauf’s infamous mansion from the ground up with updated visuals, redesigned puzzles, and newly recorded volumetric video performances that place players directly inside the story.

Players step inside the legendary estate where six guests have been invited under deeply mysterious circumstances. As you explore shifting corridors and transforming rooms, you’ll have to crack increasingly complex puzzles to uncover the dark truth behind the enigmatic toy maker, Henry Stauf.

The remake features reimagined puzzle design that integrates challenges directly into the mansion and its narrative. Each puzzle is tied to the world’s lore, encouraging exploration, observation, and discovery as players uncover how every room connects to the larger mystery.

A defining feature of The 7th Guest Remake is its use of newly recorded volumetric video performances. Real actors were captured in full 3D and placed directly into the game world. Rather than looking like a flat video overlay, the ghostly apparitions appear realistically within the 3D space, further heightening immersion.

The 7th Guest Remake is now available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a Nintendo Switch version to follow at a later date. The game is priced at $19.99 with a 15% launch discount available on Steam and Xbox Series X|S until June 18, 2026.

As a bonus, Vergito Games is also offering a cross-access deal. If you already own 2023’s The 7th Guest VR on Steam or PlayStation, you’ll get The 7th Guest Remake for free. Conversely, buying The 7th Guest Remake on Steam or PlayStation 5 grants you access to The 7th Guest VR on Steam VR or PlayStation VR2.
