Spirit Halloween has announced earlier than ever when it plans to open its doors for its landmark 40th Halloween season. On Friday, the Halloween retailer shared that its grand opening celebration at its flagship location in the brand’s hometown of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, will be held on Saturday, July 29.
Last year over 2,000 Halloween superfans descended on Egg Harbor Township to celebrate Spirit Halloween. This year, the brand expects even more enthusiasts to arrive for various activities in the dead of summer, including tarot card readings, food & beverage vendors, graveyard bowling, and more. Fans can also expect extra fun scares from Spirit Halloween partners like King Fu Tea, Butterfinger, and more.
If you’re thinking of attending this year’s event, there are a few things you should know when planning your journey to the Grand Opening:
- The flagship store will officially open at 11:00 a.m. EST on Saturday, July 29.
- Attendees should arrive no earlier than 7:00 a.m. EST on Friday, July 28.
- Overnight parking or camping at Shore Mall is not permitted this year prior to 7:00 a.m. EST on Friday, July 28.
- Starting at 7:00 a.m. EST on Saturday, July 29, numbered lanyards will be issued to fans on a first come, first served basis.
- Guests’ lanyard numbers will determine access to the flagship store. Each individual requires their own numbered lanyard to enter the store.
- Starting at 10:30 a.m. EST the event emcee will call numbered groups to line up and enter the store opening based on capacity.
- The first 200 fans to check in will receive an exclusive Spirit Halloween 40th Anniversary swag bag.
