‘Sharknado’ Getting Remastered Limited Theatrical Release for Film’s 10th Anniversary

The film “Sharknado” turns 10 this year, and to celebrate, the film is getting a special 10th Anniversary Edition theatrical release featuring an all-new remastered version with never-before-seen kills and thrills! Fans can catch the newly restored iconic moments from one of cinema’s greatest cult classics for two nights only in over 500 movie theatres nationwide.

Fully remastered in 4k with hundreds of new visual effects, the story of a freak tornado that attacks Los Angeles with gale-force winds, metric tons of water, and thousands of nature’s most ruthless killers is finally ready for the big screen.

The Asylum and Rubey Entertainment are bringing “Sharknado” to select theaters on August 15 and 16. Tickets to the theatrical event can be purchased here: http://sharknado10th.com.

Directed by Anthony C. Ferrante, the made-for-TV movie originally aired on SYFY in 2013 and stars Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, and the late John Heard. The pop culture phenomenon would spawn five sequels, the last being 2018’s “The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time.”
