Shout! Factory Opens Pre-Orders for Exclusive ‘Halloween Ends’ Soundtrack Vinyl

On Tuesday Shout! Factory announced pre-orders for its exclusive cloudy red vinyl variant of the “Halloween Ends Original Soundtrack.”

John Carpenter, Cody Carpenter, and Daniel Davies return to score the terrifying conclusion of the story of Laurie Strode and Michael Myers. Recorded in its entirety at Carpenter’s home studio and Davies’ studio, the unmistakable mix of software synths, vintage analog equipment, and live instrumentation once again provides the signature sound of “Halloween.”

The soundtrack was tracked scene by scene, but the album plays like a standalone piece of music. The general atmosphere is one of dread, yet the record includes some groove-laden moments reminiscent of “Escape From New York” or some of Carpenter’s other more dance-able scores.

From Sacred Bones Records, this limited-edition release is limited to 1,000 copies, and it’s available to pre-order now from Shout! Factory for $26.98. The album is scheduled to be released on January 20, 2023.
