Sideshow & CODA Present A Celebration of Universal Monsters Art & Collectibles Exhibition

On Thursday, collectibles maker Sideshow and creative studio CODA announced they are teaming up this October to honor the timeless legacy of the Universal Monsters through an exclusive series of curated exhibitions, screenings, and pop-up experiences in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences.

From the haunting elegance of The Bride of Frankenstein and the eerie mystique of The Creature from the Black Lagoon, to the bug-eyed Technicolor brilliance of The Metaluna Mutant, and more โ€“ this collaboration showcases a premium collection of statues, movie posters, and limited-edition fine art prints crafted by some of the most renowned artists in pop culture.

Sideshow and CODA’s events are not just a celebration – they’re a tribute to the artistry and cultural impact of horror’s most iconic characters.

Beyond Fest

The celebration will kick off on October 5 at Beyond Fest, the largest genre film festival in the United States, with a special matinee screening of Universal Pictures’ “Frankenstein” at the Los Feliz 3 Theater. There, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase an event-exclusive, limited-edition Frankenstein-inspired screen-printed poster by Sachin Teng.

Celebrity Authentics

Then, from October 24 through November 2, Hollywood-based collectibles store Celebrity Authentics will feature a world-exclusive reveal of Sideshow’s latest Universal Monsters statues and art! Here, fans can get a first look at new deluxe collectibles, limited-edition movie posters, and fine art prints by Sideshow and CODA. Among the items will be an exciting new lineup of Premium Format Mixed Media statues inspired by the iconic Universal Monsters Frankenstein, The Bride of Frankenstein, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, and the Metaluna Mutant.

Also on display will be a veritable treasure trove of alternative movie posters and limited-edition screenprints by some of the biggest names in modern art, illustration, and design. Featuring work by legendary artists like Olivia De Berardinis, Ruiz Burgos, Vincenzo Riccardi, Greg Ruth, Dan Quintana, Chris Valentine, Brian M. Viveros, and many more!โ€ฏ

Canopy Gallery

Meanwhile, CODA will simultaneously launch an exhibition of alternative movie posters and limited-run screenprints at Canopy Gallery in Austin, Texas, featuring their own exciting event-exclusive variants and special collector’s items.โ€ฏ

The Egyptian Theater

The celebration culminates with an All Hallows Eve screening of Universal Pictures’ “The Mummy” at the world-famous Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase an event-exclusive, limited-edition screen-printed poster inspired by “The Mummy,” designed by Francesco Francavilla.
