Summer blockbuster season isn’t just happening on screen this year. Universal Studios Hollywood has announced the return of Mega Movie Summer, its fan-favorite seasonal event, which will run daily from Saturday, June 13 through Sunday, August 9, 2026. Included with the price of general admission, the celebration features a sprawling lineup of themed food, exclusive merchandise, and immersive activations inspired by some of the biggest films from Universal Pictures and Illumination, past and present.
Guests can look forward to themed experiences tied to Christopher Nolan’s upcoming mythic action epic “The Odyssey,” the highly anticipated “Minions & Monsters” (arriving in theaters this summer), a momentous 25th anniversary celebration of the Fast & Furious Saga, and the return of Elphaba and Glinda from “Wicked” and “Wicked: For Good.” And for fans of the original summer blockbuster, there’s plenty to sink your teeth into — because “Jaws” is getting a full spotlight of its own.
Universal’s Executive Chef, Julia Thrash, is turning up the nostalgia with a Jaws-themed takeover at Mel’s Diner. Fans can bite into returning favorites like the Shark Bait Burger, Lobster Roll, and the Amity Island Funnel Cake. New this year, Studio Scoops on the lower lot debuts the Hello Kitty Jaws Blueberry Cheesecake Sundae. Outside the park at Universal CityWalk, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville leans into the island terror with two “Jaws”-themed additions: the Beachside Melt and the Forbidden Waters cocktail.
A selection of exclusive “Jaws”-inspired merchandise, including a new Loungefly crossbody bag, apparel and accessories, will also be available for purchase.
If you’re planning a trip, Universal is currently running its “Buy A Day, Get A 2nd Day Free” General Admission ticket promotion. The deal is only available online, so make sure to snag your tickets on the official Universal Studios Hollywood website, where you can also find specific pricing, park hours, and any blackout dates.
